Redmi Note 5A (S) Release
Xiaomi announced the Redmi Note 5A (S) on 21 August 2017 alongside the Redmi Note 5A model. On September 15 2017, the premium variant officially released for sale.
Device Characteristics
The smartphone comes in 2 variants, 3GB RAM & 32GB and 4GB RAM & 64GB models; powered by a Snapdragon 435 (3GB and 4GB models) processor.
The device will feature a 5.5 inch, 720p, display. As Xiaomi’s standard, the capacitive (menu, home and recent) buttons are found at the bottom of the device.
The device feature a fingerprint sensor located at the center-rear of the device unlike it the Note 5A variant.
Target Market
The Redmi Note 5A (S) is targeted at the entry-level smartphone market for users that require a large display with a hint of premium build quality. The higher-end variant of the Note 5A offers premium camera experience whilst including a more secure device.
