Xiaomi Mi A1 Release
Xiaomi officially announced the Xiaomi Mi A1 on September 5th 2017. The device was released in India on September 13 2017.
Device Characteristics
The Mi A1 is Xiaomi’s first stock Android One device. Featuring a similar design to the OnePlus 5, Oppo R11 and iPhone 7 Plus, the Mi A1 sports a Snapdragon 625 paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with MicroSD expansion, up to 128GB. All of this is powered with a 3,080 mAh battery incased with a 5.5 inch FHD IPS display.
Whilst providing a stock-android experience, Xiaomi will be providing its own camera app to ‘fully-unlock’ the potential of the dual camera setup on the rear of the device. The setup consists of a two 12-megapixel sensors, one as a wide-angle lens and the other as a telephoto lens. The front-facing 5-megapixel selfie shooter comes with Xiaomi’s beauty mode.
