Zepp Z comes with Amazon Alexa, two-week battery life and premium looks

Zepp is the latest smart wearable brand in Huami’s portfolio and the newest product in its lineup is the Zepp Z smartwatch. The Zepp brand is catered to the more premium smartwatch segment and makes use of fancier materials.

The Zepp Z features a brushed titanium casing with a brown leather strap. We have a circular 1.39-inch AMOLED display with 454 x 454 pixels and always-on functionality. There are three buttons on the side. The health key sits up top and acts as a shortcut to measure your heart rate, blood oxygen levels or stress levels. There’s the crown element in the middle for navigating the interface which also features haptic feedback.

Zepp Z key features

You can track up to 12 sports modes with the Zepp Z as well as your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation, sleep and stress levels. There’s built-in GPS and GLONASS, Alex voice assistant and over 50 watch faces. Other features include Bluetooth 5.0 LE and 5ATM water resistance.

The watch boasts a 340 mAh battery which is rated at over two weeks of endurance which is presumably with a power saver mode. It charges over a proprietary magnetic charging pad which ends in a USB-A connector and a full charge takes 2.5 hours.

The Zepp Z smartwatch retails for $349 in the US and is on sale via the company’s website. There’s no information on when it will make its way to more markets just yet.
