Samsung starts pushing out One UI 2.5 update to the Galaxy A series

Samsung is bringing yet another important update that was initially exclusive to its flagships to the Galaxy A series. The One UI 2.5 introduced a few months ago with the Galaxy Note 20 is now making its way to Samsung’s mid-range Galaxy A phones.

The first to receive the update is the Galaxy A71, one of the series’ most expensive models, but also one of the cheapest 5G smartphones launched by the South Korean company. SamMobile reports the update is now rolling out in several countries, although it doesn’t seem to be available in the United States yet.

A bunch of new features and improvements are included in the update, such as a new keyboard search option that lets users search YouTube, as well as enhancements to the quality and stability of the camera.

Samsung Galaxy A71 users should also expect to get a new feature that allows them to call a person who is saved as a pre-configured SOS message contact, and support for Bitmoji Stickers on the Always-On display.

The One UI 2.5 update for Samsung Galaxy A71 weighs in at 1GB and includes the October security patch. Carriers like T-Mobile and Verizon have yet to release the update, but those with unlocked phones should be able to get it in the next couple of days.
