Galaxy Watch3 Plugin app reveals hand gestures and fall detection

In a typicalXDA-Developers fashion, they did a deep dive into the Galaxy Watch3 Plugin app and found some interesting stuff about the watch itself. And it has nothing to do with the hardware features, design or the physical rotating bezel. This one is all about hand gestures.

According to the source code, the Galaxy Watch3 will support hand gestures for answering or dismissing a call. For instance, you will be able to clench and unclench your fist to answer a call and since the device will be equipped with a microphone and loudspeaker, you can do that directly onto the watch. Shaking your hand, on the other hand, will dismiss the call. This might come useful during a workout or when your hands are busy.

Additionally, there’s a line of code about fall detection. This one is pretty simple. If the watch detects a fall, it would start ringing for a minute and if the user doesn’t respond in that time, the watch places an SOS call or calls one of your emergency contacts.

The default watch faces

As a bonus, they were able to dig out the default watch faces for the Galaxy Watch3. Most of them are already known but there are a couple of new ones too.
