Complete Galaxy S21 Ultra specs leak reveals every last detail
The last couple of weeks have been insane. It all started with leaked teasers of the Galaxy S21 series and eventually several details courtesy of a Samsung Experience store in India.

That was followed by leaked hands-on photos and videos of the devices, and more recently a bunch of press renders. Now, Roland Quandt has returned with everything we need to know about the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra — Chipset, storage, and more

Samsung’s Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ are no doubt impressive, but the Galaxy S21 Ultra is an absolute killer. In Europe, the phone uses the unannounced Exynos 2100 and boasts an incredible 12GB of RAM as standard.

Per the information shared now, the Exynos chipset includes one ultra-high-performance core clocked at 2.9GHz, three high-performance cores running at 2.8GHz, and four efficiency cores clocked at 2.4GHz. Customers based in the United States will receive Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 888 instead, but the rest of the specs sheet should be identical in every way.
All of this sits next to 128GB of base storage across Europe, although both 256GB and 512GB models are in the works. Additionally, and as per usual, Samsung is throwing in support for microSD cards too.
Before moving on to other areas, it’s worth mentioning the 5,000mAh battery that supports wireless charging and 45W fast wired charging. However, as per recent reports, a power brick isn’t included inside the box.

Samsung’s 2021 flagship has a stunning display

This South Korean brand has often excelled in the display department and 2021 is no different. The Galaxy S21 Ultra sports a massive 6.8-inch AMOLED display that boasts thin bezels and curved edges on either side. The curves themselves are said to be minimal, though, and the panel is close to flat.
Samsung has gone all-out with the related specs too. The chosen display supports a Quad-HD+ resolution (3200x1440p) and a pixel density of 515 pixels-per-inch. Brightness, on the other hand, can reach an incredible 1,600 nits.
These aren’t the standout features, though. That one is the included variable LTPO 120Hz refresh rate tech, which allows the Galaxy S21 Ultra to display super-smooth content without drastically reducing battery life.
There are plans to market the Galaxy S21 Ultra’s screen as both a Dynamic AMOLED 2x Display and an Infinity-O Edge display. It’s protected by the seventh-generation of Gorilla Glass — Gorilla Glass Victus — and supports S Pen too.
Of course, you can’t have a nice display without good software. The Galaxy S21 Ultra should ship with Android 11 and One UI 3.1 pre-installed.
On a separate note, the external package described above means that Samsung’s next device measures in at 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm and weighs 228g. That makes it smaller yet heavier than the Galaxy S20 Ultra (166.9 x 76 x 8.8 mm, 222g).

The Galaxy S21 Ultra’s camera setup is killer

Where Samsung’s Galaxy S21 Ultra truly excels is in the camera department. An upgraded 108-megapixel main camera that offers optical image stabilization (OIS) and an f/1.8 aperture leads the way.
It’s accompanied by the usual 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle snapper. This one supports a 120-degree field-of-view and an f/2.2 aperture. It doesn’t have OIS, but that is usually the case on all smartphones anyway.

There is an LED flash and laser autofocus too, as well as a versatile zoom system. The latter consists of a 10-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto camera capable of 3x hybrid zoom and a 10-megapixel f/4.9 sensor capable of 10x hybrid zoom.

Both have OIS and the data from both sensors is said to enable 100x Space Zoom. Samsung originally introduced this feature on the S20 Ultra but axed it from the Note 20 Ultra due to its poor reception.
If you like recording video, this may well be the phone for you. The Galaxy S21 Ultra can record 8K video at 30fps and 4K video at 60fps. If you prefer regular 1080p, that can be recorded at up to 240fps.
The selfie camera boasts a 40-megapixel resolution.
